lmao.. c'mon man.. ya got me chasin ya around the forums..

I'm parkin on this topic.. so if ya post in another.... I won't see it..

the reason that PC and your parents PC's can hear your broadcast is because your b-casting to your network..
ya need to not only identify what the real IP address is for your PC but you'll have to configure your network router to port forward .. so others can get to that IP address..

Go here: HOW 2 JETCAST

Read it completely.. at the bottom of that page it should show your actual IP address.. hard to say really coz your on a network..but try it anyway..
and post the IP it shows here..
if I try it and still can't listen...then you'll have to look at the router config on your network..

yer not getting a thing I'm saying..... are ya?

No workey there either dude.. I'm tellin ya...for the 2nd or 3rd time...
no one can access your station because you are behind a network router.. how do you think your machines are connected together in the house ? with 2 tin cans and a string between em? no.. it's called a router...and sure......you can hear it.. and so can any other PC wired within your network..

but untill you get your network router configured right.. yer listenin to it alone.. trust me I know what I'm talkin about.. ask another friend to try that directory page listing link you posted.. they'll get the same result.. "network error" message..

if ya want help I'll help...be glad to do it..
but don't ignore my advice dude.. or your on your own..

config your router to port forward ports 9000 to 9010 on the real IP address...and you'll be on the web.. untill then...your b-casting within your house only..

good luck..

Well.... in order to understand how to do that...ya need to know what kind of router you have... there are about a thousand different models out there....so once ya find that out (ya can tell by lookin at it)

Once ya know what ya have..a good site to use as a referance on router configuration is called
"Port Forward" and thats located HERE

the other important item is...and this is REALLY important... you need to really know what yer doin with the router config.... or one wrong click or line entry... and bang! ....your off the internet untill you figure out what ya did wrong... and fix it.. so it's probably better to ask someone who set up the network (your parents perhaps?) to do the router set up.....
coz it's easy to mess up for the in-experienced user..
and it could take hours or days even to troubleshoot what went wrong....

so...1st .... find out what router you have....2nd..go to that site (Port Forward) and see if that model is listed there.. if it is.. read about it... then read it again a 2nd time..
if ya do this right...you'll be good to go... if ya mess it up.. you'll be in deep s--t..

check all that out.... and let me know what ya find out..

ok? ..... so what make and model is your router?
that first number is nothing..(the 255) a mask IP address..generated by the router.
The 2nd number, if it is indeed your actual IP address
will be helpful later on... once you open the required TCP ports on your router..

and..

in the other post you made "IP address 4 everyone" thats your router IP again.....it's useless to those outside of your home network.. no one outside of your home network can hear your broadcast on that IP address..
it's a generic IP.. almost every router made uses a similar IP..
do your homework kiddo...follow up on the instructions I posted....or your station will always be broadcasting to how ever many PC's are inside your house.. and that's all.
if mom or dad can't help ya out with the router set up.. your outta luck.

let us all know when ya get your router squared away.. and we'll be able to test the station....untill then...anyone who tries on that IP you posted will get a network error..

whats your upload bandwidth by the way? thats important to know because it determines how many listener's your broadcast is capable of serving..
once the router deal is fixed that is..

ya see...there is a lot more to this... than just downloading the program and launching it..
