Display Current Artist / Song Title, Options For Winamp / jetCast DSP

Many topics started here ask the question..

"How can I display current artist / song title on my station web page"

The good news is... there are actually quite a few ways to do this....
The bad news is.....the only programs or options that I'm familiar with work only with Winamp (along with using the jetCast DSP broadcasting plug-in)

Below is a list of available free-ware and/or plug-ins...
I've tried all and still use them...


SpyAmp

SpyAmp is a simple web server plugin for Winamp that allows people to connect to your computer using a browser and see what you're playing. If you set permissions accordingly, you may also allow downloading of music files. also provides HTML pages displaying current song info and current playlist. see site for further details.



winampspy 1.1

winampspy works with SpyAmp to display a "console" or other customized text of current artist/song info. requires a .PHP enabled server and some configuration..

SIGamp

Offers a free and subscriber version of a custom signature for message boards and or web pages.. details avail. on SIGamp website.
(this is probably the easiest and quickest option for displaying current
artist/title info)



ViralSound Winamp Sigs

Similar to SIGamp in what it does, this free-ware is highly customize-able but requires a close atten. to detail and a little skill to get it set up correctly.

WebCaster University

Registration required to view most of this site....Has a section titled "Code Snippets" listing a couple of plug-ins for SHOUTcast server users that display server stats/current metadata
(you must have SHOUTcast set up for these to work)
This site also has a wealth of info and free syndicated content that you can
air on your broadcast. view site for details.





Thats all for now.. keep in mind... all of the above will only work when installed with Winamp and the jetCast DSP.

You can get streamripper ban php script at Webcaster U.
It's very useful to ban rippers but it works only with shoutcast not jetcast.
jetcast stations have no guard against rippers, take care!
