iAudio U2 Volume Issue

Searched for the answer here, but haven't found anything.

Purchased the 512mb version and all was fine with the volume. Could not go too far past 34 or so in volume (just was too loud!!). Now I get to 32, but when I go farther (even all the way to 40) there is no change in volume.

Played with all the Jet Effect settings, but no increase in volume after 32...??

golfnut1221,

I have not experienced this. If you have quality headphones, I'm not sure you need to go up that high.

When I used the Sony MDR-EX71SL I had to turn the U2 volume up to 22 - 23.

Now that I have the Shure E3, I only need to go from 15-17 range because they are such high quality.

What kind of headphones are you using?

i've noticed this too, but only when i hook it up to a stereo. i never turn it up that high with headphones, but i could try it by putting the eq down.

Thanks for the responses guys...

I have the SONY MDR-EX51LP headphones (in ear). As I said, at one point turning it past 30 was getting real loud...now it tops out at 32.

And I just tried an extra over the ear set I have for my stereo system, and same thing, no increase in volume after 32! Looks like it is not the headphones then....
