Talking Unable to update firmware a2

i just got the a2 and have tried to update to version1.51...after following the instructions to the letter, when i got to the settings menu,it says firmware version 1.39 and application version 1.51...none of the files will play now...d/l version 1.39 again and have reverted back to that...everything is fine...only thing i think i might be doing wrong is,the confusing part about pushing the scroll button down while turning the unit on at the same time...when i do this the unit comes on,the firmware update screen flashes for a second, then the unit comes on normally...has anyone had this problem or am i being a dunce and missed something..i have copy and pasted the new firmware into the system folder which im assuming is the .root folder they say in the instructions...any help will be appreciated...i got my new toy and want to play with it!!!!

Unhappy

I have exactly the same problem. Please let me know if you find a solution.

After I do the upgrade, I cannot play any more files and I also have the version mismatch problem.

EDIT: When I update to the 1.51 firmware, I get the first yellow dot and then it switches itself off. When I downgrade I get all 4 dots become yellow and the unit restarts.

The solution is to reformat your player (using FAT32) while connected as a usb drive, the copy the latest firmware to your player and do the firmware upgrade again (following the step in the docs). Worked for me.

You will lose all everything including sample files and the default directory structure (so back up first). I can't remember all the default dirs so if you could post a list of default directories I would appreciate.
