Hi All!
It's is possible to have, on futures versions JetAudio:

- Some Winamp skin support (compact)
- Extended programm mode:
a) set composition from any album
b) speed & volume control
c) effects control
d) alarm/timer control
- Show total time in album
- Shuffle for all albums

Winamp Skin Support ????
This is not possible, cause of the different system and different features.
Jetaudio has o lot of more features, than WinAmp. If you want WinAmp skins you just have to build some skins for jetaudio they look like...
But take a look of the jetAMp5 Skin from me... you will see, they are many differents !!! WinAmp is to ordinary to convert an skin 1:1 to jetaudio.
This is the same if you want to convert the interface of MS Notepad to Office XP Word... ;-)

What you mean with "extendet programm mode" ???
Jetaudio have an normal mode with all features an mini and and toolbarmode with some features by default.
In normal mode you allready have speed & volume control , alarm/timer and effects...
If they are all the controls on mini or toolbar mode, depends on the skinbuilder...

So, i really don´t know you are shure to talk about jetaudio... ^^

When you make an album, wich contents some different albums and you cklick the shuffle button in jetaudio, than you have that, what you want ^^

And if you want to see the total duration time in album, you just have to go with your cursor on the time display and see the info in the Ballon Tip...

So... exept Winamp Skin support, all the features you want are allready build in to jetaudio ^^

And Winamp Skin support is only for Winamp clones, they work the same way like Winamp. But i´m very lucky jetaudio doesn´t :-)

Not. You have not understood, that I wanted to tell.
The matter is that skin for JetAudio very much large. Then it is necessary to create more compact format for skins.
Extended programm mode (EPM)
Consists in the following:

In the list it is added not only songs from the current album, but also songs from other albums, and also events.
Events: - set volume xx %
- set position xx %
- set timer, timer on, timer off
- close JA, windows sleep mode, power off
- set alarm
- on/off visualisation
- on/off effects
- On time play/pause/next/prev/execute other JA program/etc
- etc

Such programming ideally will approach for party. Still(even) to add a mode of blocking JA. (a unblocking under the password)

I create the big albums, and it is not convenient. Therefore the mode of casual reproduction on chosen an album is necessary, and it is convenient through EPM.

ok...

The skinformat in jetaudio is freeform. That means, everybody they build skins can decide by self about the size of the skin.
There is no "compact" and "EPM" mode or what ever. To make "modes" for skins means to pre decide for the skinbuilders about the size and the possible features. Thats not what we want as skinbuilder. Here in jetaudio, everybody is free to decide, what features or what size the skin is. If you cant found compact skins, like you want, its on you to build some.
But i think you don´t have explore the skins.... cause in default there is a skin called: "Default_mini". The mini Skin is like the normal mode at Winamp. And you will find lot of mini skins here and everywhere for jetaudio...

The nest thing is: YOU think, the normal skin is too Big... but take a look at my Krypton Skin ! Then you will get an Heart attack ! 1280 Pixels wideness !

And this Skin and another one with 1024 is very popular !!!
Its only to big for YOU - but other people feel it´s to small.

The normal default Skin in jetaudio is, what you call an EPM.
The mini Skin is, what you call compact.
And i can tell it you twice: if you want more small skins, then build some....
its on you...

What you mean with "set Volume" is "normalize". Thats right... jetadio has no normalize funktion in the skin. But if you take a look in the preferences...

The most on timer events you wrote here, doesn´t make sense in use.
Like "set Alarm", set "pause" "next/prev", "execute other JA programms" a.s.o.
If you want to programm an playlist or album, you want to programm an pause ???? Or you want to programm to execute other JA programms like what ? There are no other JA programs ^^
But the common sense funktions, jetaudio allready have:



For Partys, its better to use an DJ Player.... Jetaudio have no DJ functions at this time :-( I´ll hope this will come in the best version...

And for shuffle mode, you just have to click the shuffle button in that, what you call EPM - the normal window....

I think you have to use jetaudio more time and read the helpfiles to learn how to use it. You don´t know lot of the features jetaudio have.
Jetaudio don´t need different modes (except the toolbar) The Mode system like WinAmp is too much give an direction how to build an skin. In jetaudio you can build it like you want. And this is better than WinAmp.Cause in Winamp, the only way to use features is to set it in the options. But you can´t set it directly on the skin. That means: an skin like my Musicstudio Professional is not working for Winamp. Cause all the functions, i build in the skin you can´t use in Winamp. Thats, why all winamp skins looking like each other. In Winamp ,there is no way to put functions except the normals to the skin. So ... i don´t think , its neccesary to build jetaudio like Winamp !!!
Winamp is an old way. The only two things Winamp skin system is better than jetaudio skinsystem is that you can use animations and change the size.
But you are free to build your own Skin... i can help you if you want....
Take a look in the Skin section here in the Forum and see, what i have build. Then you will see, what is possible, and what is not possible. And you will see, that the jetadio skinsystem is more usefull than Winamp ;-)
Its on you ! You can build skins like you want. Its not a question of jetadio by it self... its on you...

If you want an Winampskin then just take a look at my jetAmp Skin:
The skin has an bug, if you use the mixer Button. Cause i have made the skin in some hours just for show and not for use. but it works and you can finish the skin, if you want !

You see... everything is possible in jetaudio... just use it some time and you will see it ;-)
