Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

Hmmm... you don´t think, its better, to post that in the Skin developement Area and only post it here when the Skin will be finished ?
Or is that the finish version ?

What you mean with "Less is more " ? Less work ?
I´m totally confused about that... i think its better to delete the post here and open it in the developement area. There we can help you to change the positions of all the Buttons and other thinks, the skin need.

You know, if you just delete The Background, all the other things, the player need are unvisible. ! And that means its not usable...

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

To explain the title of the skin: "less" is for the strongly reduced background of the player, and "more" stands for an uncomplicated an easy handling, reduced to the necessary basic functions.

You can use it by copying the .jsk-file into your skin-directory. Then it should work correctly. There´s no need for a setup.

I designed this skin, because it´s possible to use it while using other programs and internet just like the toolbar mode.

..the download-forum is for "submitting skins and share it with others". So, why not placing it there (Even if my skin is not as "professional" as your skins may be).

Greetings back
Christoph

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

Hm .... if you want to reduce the skin , than you have to delete the running functions, but not the BAckground. Cause the Main.BAck, you use, is an normal sized Bitmap ^^ (On each area, where is no BAckground or transparent color, all things in front are invisible ;-)
So - your BAckground is normal in size, like the default. It makes no different for your system, if your skin is 2 or 3 MB.
The functions make the difference.
So reduce means: kill the spectrum, and some other features.

As next your skin looks like only change the BAckground - but all the features are still on ! And the design seemes as an unfinished skin.

So, if you want, we could help you to make all the things you want to build with the skin, but in much better way... just ask ;-)

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

OK: Help!
How can I reduce the size of the mainwindow and place some function buttons (soundFX, repeat, random..) on the "less is more"skin?

Greetings and thanx for your support
Christoph

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

Ok...

First tell me, what programs you use... i suggest you to use PhotoImpact (for Graphics) and UltraEdit32 for the Scriptchangings.

then, it could be helpfull, if you download the new Skin developement Kit , i made for easyer understand how the Skinsystem works: Click here

there you´ll be find the developementfiles of the jetAmp5 Skin, and some other helpfull files and descriptions.
You can use the jetAmp5 developement files to explore the differences to the default skin and learn something about it.

The best way for building an new skin is, to build an interface in an graphic program (Totaly finished)
And then You cut all the buttons and the other things you need out from the Interface Picture and copy those to the jetaudio developement files.

Now, its time for make changes in the Script.
All buttons are named in the script and you can change the postition, and the function of each button. Just try to change the positions to give all buttons the position you want. All things, you do´n´t need, you can delete.

But first answer my questions... i think, we will find an easy way for you to build skins :-)

by the way: Where do you come from ?

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

Re: Jet Audio LIGHT ....less is more!

hi... gut das wir ne gemeinsame sprache sprechen... das macht´s einfacher :-)
geh mal bei uns ins Forum www.media-play.org

da hab ich mal angefangen so ein How-to zu schreiben.
Da kannst schon mal jede Menge an info ziehen...

Sven
