jetToolBar

Since I discovered the "jetToolBar", because of MS decision to remove the tool bars in Office 2003, I seem to have a problem. The bar gets reset to defaults, give or take every two/three weeks. After the first time, I copied my set up (JetTB.tdb) to a different folder s backup.

Why does "jetToolBar" resets itself?

It's not you. It seems to reset itself one every few months for me as well. I finally settled on automatically backing up this file every few minutes just in case it happens again.

This was really no problem for me because I already use a program call SmartSync that I bought several years ago to automatically backup other files which I want to backup on a regular basis. You can note however that there are a lot of free programs that do backups automatically. You can do a search on download.com for the most recent of them. You have to try a few to find the one you like (and works).

Re: jetToolBar

I've been using JTB with WinXP for several years. It's really a great app launcher but I have also experienced the problem described above so I do backup my .tdb file, but what a drag that is!

In addition, sometimes the first few icons within a tab are missing and the only way I can get them back is to jump to another tab and then re-select the desired tab.

It's about time Cowon fixed these bugs ...I understand this is a free program, but the lack of a long overdue update adversely affects the reputation of all Cowon products!!!
