Upgrading from jetAudio 5 plus to JAD6?

NOTE: The following questions apply only to jetAudio 5.XX plus or jetAudio 4.XX extension users.

If you don't have any of those versions and want jetAudio 6 plus, or want to buy some extensions for your Basic version, you can buy it/them at the Online Store

Can I upgrade to jetAudio 6 as of now (2/26/2004)?

I think the most accurate answer would be: you can't. JAD6 plus isn't officially released. IMHO, it should be out pretty soon.

But there's a link to jetAudio 6 plus in the iAudio's board!

Try it at your own risk. I haven't heard anything official about that link, or how it was found. There doesn't seem to be references to that link in Cowon's pages, so actually I don't know how the link was discovered, and why is only there....

EDIT: In fact, there might be a possibility of the file being a fake

But I want my jetAudio 6 plus...

We all want it (refering to the 5.xx plus users). The best thing we could do is wait patiently. Maybe major forces are avoiding it's release. You'll se your patience will be rewarded.

Hope you like my improvised faq. I expect to come out with some other to help out with common questions. Any comment/suggstion is appreciated.

So, this extension pack is already included into Plus version or new users need to purchase Plus AND Extension Pack (MP3/mp3PRO encoding Pack, Sound Pack, Application Pack, Special Sound Effect (BBE) Pack, Enhanced Recording Pack) ??

I was refering to the jetAudio 5.XX plus to 6.XX plus upgrade. At the online store you can buy the full 6.XX plus (which doesn't requiere previous versions installed).

The fake i was refering to was a link to upgrade from 5.XX+ to 6.XX+ for free (you must have 5.XX+ before to install it). As far as I know, that upgrade should be free but is not available now.

I think the plus version includes all Extensions (look for example at the mp3/mp3pro extension). The extensions are for the basic version, in case you don't want all the features the plus version has.

Check out PorkNbeans posts in this jad6 release thread. According to what jetAudio mailed him that link shouldn't even exist , at least it seems they haven't put the upgrade anywhere.
